Giants Live
A Strong Woman
Giants Live had built a devoted audience around strongman, while its women’s competition had yet to attract the same level of engagement and ticket sales.
The standard of the sport was not the problem. Audiences simply had not been given the chance to know the women behind it.

We followed three record-breaking athletes beyond the arena.
Training halls before dawn. Kitchens, cars, changing rooms, the hours nobody films. We shot where the work actually happens, and let the competition be the place it all arrives rather than the place it starts.

Their stories of work, motherhood, body image, ambition and resilience opened up a much bigger question.
What does it really mean to be a strong woman?
Following the film’s release, ticket sales for Britain’s Strongest Woman rose 35% year on year, from 2024 to 2025.
The film also reached more than 50,000 public views and earned recognition across a selective run of established festivals, including BIFA- and Grierson-qualifying programmes. It received several festival honours, including several Best Documentary festival wins.
